                                                                                                 Legal Agreement
Pet Sitters agree to provide services stated in a reliable and trustworthy manner.  Clients can expect that unless otherwise noted the service
agreement, one sitter will be assigned to the task of sitting for their pets. Another sitter may be used in the event that the original sitter has
extreme conditions which cause them to be unable to provide services.
Business and visiting hours fall between the hours of 7 AM and 8 PM, and services are usually completed during this time.
All pets (where appropriate) must have a veterinarian and must have current rabies and other vaccinations.
Pet Sitters can not diagnose, give prognoses, or make therapy decisions, nor offer veterinary services.  Any veterinary/medical concerns
will be referred to a veterinarian.
Pet Sitters reserve the right to take pet(s) to a veterinarian.  Client is responsible for all charges.  They will make every attempt to contact
client prior to taking pet to veterinarian.
Understandably, Pet Sitters will not sit for acutely ill animals or those with uncontrolled medical conditions.  In those circumstances we
suggest the pet be boarded with a veterinarian.
Pet Sitters cannot accept aggressive animals.
Pet Sitters will not walk unruly or untrained dogs.  This is left up to their discretion.  If they do agree to walk a dog, all dogs must be walked
on   leash, no exceptions.
All pets with electronic fences must wear their collars with fresh batteries.  Pet Sitter is not responsible for any animals that cross the perimeter.
Pet Sitters will not mail keys nor will they be responsible for keys that the client has mailed to them.
If client requests a neighbor, relative or friend to also take care of pets or house while gone, pet sitters will not assume responsibility for theft or
damage to the home or injury, illness or death of the pet.
Client is responsible for making arrangements for snow removal.   Visits may not be made in snow covered driveways and/or walkways because
of safety concerns.
Client is required to provide an emergency contact number of a friend, relative or neighbor who lives close to the client’s home. This contact
will be used in case of a natural disaster such as in the occurrence of flooding or ice storms, which prevent a sitter from reaching the client’s
home. Emergency Contacts can be assured that they will only be contacted in the case of an emergency.
Payment is expected when services are rendered.  A deposit may be required.  Payment must be received within 5 days of the completion of
services or a late charge of $20 will be applied.
In the event of additional unforeseen visits or other costs (such as food, supplies, or vet fees), payment is expected within 5 days of the
completion of services or a late charge of $20 will be applied.
All returned checks will be charged an additional $20 service fee and the client must pay the entire invoice and all applicable fees promptly
via cash or money order.
A fuel surcharge may be applied to visits greater than 15 miles from sitter's home.
A charge will be incurred if client neglects to cancel a scheduled visit prior to sitter's arrival at client's home.  Cancellation must be done by
phone.
Last minute-reservations will only be accepted if the circumstances are extreme such as a death in the family. Otherwise all sitting
reservations should be made at least 4 days in advance to allow time for a sitter to conduct the initial interview. If a sitter has already met with
the client and their pet, then a reservation may be accepted at the sitter's discretion.

“Always Ready” Key Release Agreement (for those clients participating in the “Always Ready “ Key Service)
Comfy Cozy Critters has my permission to make/keep a copy of my key(s) for emergency/backup purposes at their discretion.
Comfy Cozy Critters agrees to place an identifying code on my keys. My keys will not be marked with my address. When not in use, my keys will

My pet sitter will automatically retain my key at the end of each service period.
Comfy Cozy Critters has permission to provide my keys to any of its employees that will be providing me with Pet Sitting Service.
I understand that if I decide at any time I would like my key returned to me, I need to contact Comfy Cozy Critters and cancel my membership
at no charge.
Comfy Cozy Critters will not mail keys nor will Comfy Cozy Critters be held responsible for keys that the client has mailed.
Comfy Cozy Critters is willing to exchange keys via drop off or pick up. Each personal key transfer is charged to the client at a rate of $10.00

Keys will not be left inside the home on the last visit, as it prevents the Pet sitter from gaining access to my pets in the event I am unable to
return home as planned.
                                                                    Veterinary Agreement
*In the event that any of my pets appears to be ill, injured, or at significant risk of experiencing a medical problem at the start of service or
while in the care of Comfy Cozy Critters, I give permission to Comfy Cozy Critters to seek veterinary service from a veterinarian or a veterinary
clinic. My preferred veterinary services are listed on each individual Pet Information Disclosure. Other veterinarians or emergency care clinics
chosen by the pet sitter are acceptable. *I understand that efforts will be made to contact me regarding any treatments, illness, injury, or
potential problems as soon as the condition is deemed not life threatening and/or contact is possible.
I understand that Comfy Cozy Critters sitters work hard to prevent accidents and injuries, and that such problems may occur no matter how
well a pet is cared for. I agree to allow Comfy Cozy Critters care providers to use their best judgment in handling these situations, and I
understand that Comfy Cozy Critters and its staff assume no responsibility for the actions and decisions of the veterinary staff, the health, or
death of my pet(s).
I will assume full responsibility for the payment and/or reimbursement for any and all veterinary services rendered, including but not limited to
diagnosis, treatment, grooming, medical supplies, and boarding. Such payments will be made within 14 days of the initial incident. I also
agree to be responsible for all fees assessed by Comfy Cozy Critters for emergency transportation, care, supervision, or hiring of emergency
caregivers, and will pay such fees within 14 days of each incident.
I further authorize Comfy Cozy Critters and my primary veterinarian(s) to share all medical records of all of my animals with veterinary clinics in
an emergency in the interest of providing the best care for my ill or injured animal(s).
This agreement is valid from the date below and grants permission for future veterinary care without the need for additional authorization
each time Comfy Cozy Critters cares for one or more of my pets. I understand that this agreement applies to all of the pets within the care of
Comfy Cozy Critters. In signing this contract, I agree that I have the sole authority to make health, medical, and financial decisions regarding
the animals that will be scheduled to receive service.
