Forms & Policies
The following forms can be printed, filled out and given to
your sitter at the initial meeting.
Comfy Cozy Critters Pet Sitting Policies

1)       Pet Sitters agree to provide services stated in a reliable and
trustworthy manner.  Clients can expect that unless otherwise noted in
the service agreement, one sitter will be assigned to the task of sitting for
their pets. Another sitter may be used in the event that the original sitter
has extreme conditions which cause them to be unable to provide
services.

2)       Business and visiting hours fall between the hours of 8 AM and 9
PM, and services are usually completed during this time.

3)       All pets (where appropriate) must have a veterinarian and must
have current rabies and other vaccinations.

4)       Pet Sitters can not diagnose, give prognoses, or make therapy
decisions, nor offer veterinary services.  Any veterinary/medical concerns
will be referred to a veterinarian.

5)       Pet Sitters reserve the right to take pet(s) to a veterinarian.  Client
is responsible for all charges.  They will make every attempt to contact
client prior to taking pet to veterinarian.

6)       Understandably, Pet Sitters will not sit for acutely ill animals or
those with uncontrolled medical conditions.  In those circumstances we
suggest the pet be boarded with a vet.

7)       Pet Sitters cannot accept aggressive animals.

8)       Pet Sitters will not walk unruly or untrained dogs.  This is left up to
their discretion.  If they do agree to walk a dog, all dogs must be walked
on leash, no exceptions.

9)       All pets with electronic fences must wear their collars with fresh
batteries.  Pet Sitter is not responsible for any animals that cross the
perimeter.

10)        Pet Sitters will not mail keys nor will they be responsible for keys
that the client has mailed to them.

11)        If client requests a neighbor, relative or friend to also take care
of pets or house while gone, pet sitters will not assume responsibility for
theft or damage to the home.

12)       Client is responsible for making arrangements for snow removal.
Visits may not be made in snow covered driveways and/or walkways
because of safety concerns.

13)       Client is required to provide an emergency contact number of a
friend, relative or neighbor who lives close to the client’s home. This
contact will be used in case of a natural disaster such as in the
occurrence of flooding or ice storms, which prevent a sitter from reaching
the client’s home. Emergency Contacts can be assured that they will only
be contacted in the case of an emergency.

14)        Payment is expected when services are rendered.  A deposit
may be required.  In the event of additional unforeseen visits or other
costs (such as food, supplies, or vet fees), payment is expected within 5
days of the completion of services or a late charge of $20 will be applied.

15)        All returned checks will be charged an additional $20 service fee
and the client must pay the entire invoice and all applicable fees promptly
via cash or money order.

16)        A fuel surcharge may be applied to visits greater than 15 miles
from sitter's home.

17)        A charge will be incurred if client neglects to cancel a scheduled
visit prior to sitter's arrival at client's home.  Cancellation must be done by
phone.

18)        Last minute-reservations will only be accepted if the
circumstances are extreme such as a death in the family. Otherwise all
sitting reservations should be made at least 4 days in advance to allow
time for a sitter to conduct the initial interview. If a sitter has already met
with the pet then a reservation may be accepted.
