Comfy Cozy Critters Policies
To give the pets in our care the best service possible, the following company policies have been established.
Payments
Payment for services rendered is expected at the time of booking or within 5 days after the completion of
services otherwise a late fee of $20.00 will be applied. Payments may be made by Cash, Check, Paypal or the
Intuit Payment Network. Any gratuities should be indicated when making the payment. Any additional charges
that are incurred for the care of any pets, will be applied to the invoice. Any returned checks will be charged an
additional $20.00 service fee. Prepayments may be made by using the appropriate links to the top left of this
page.
Reservations
Appointments must be scheduled at least 4 days in advance and will be accepted at our discretion. Our office
will schedule visits with your Primary or Secondary sitters accordingly, dependent on your pet but must be at
least once daily. Scheduling needs will be assessed at the required initial meeting. To schedule services, all
necessary forms must be signed and will be valid from the date signed by the person(s) who have the legal
right to do so. Online profiles must be updated for each reservation and should include emergency contact
information, who can access the home, and an EAT of return. We do not accept time specific appointments.
You may select from the following time shifts depending on availability. AM (6a-9a), Late AM (9a-11a), MIDDAY
(12p-3p), Early PM (4p-6p), PM (7p-10p). Medications will be administered as close to prescribed times as
possible. Policy changes will be posted on our website.
Cancellations
Cancellations require 24 hours notice. Any cancellations made after 4 A.M. on the day of a scheduled service
or series of services are non refundable. All remaining paid services will be given a credit and can be used for
further services.
"Always Ready" Key Service
We must have two (2) working keys at the time of the consultation or give the sitter $5 to make a copy for the
office. Your key will be kept in a secure location and you may request to cancel your membership at any time. A
drop off fee may apply. We will not mail your key or be held responsible for any keys mailed to us. We will also
not lock keys in your home, as it prevents access in case of unexpected circumstances. Other alternatives are
a hide-a-key or a pick up/ drop off service ($10 each time)
Pet Policies
We require all pets to be licensed and have their rabies vaccination. We cannot accept aggressive or acutely ill
animals with uncontrolled medical conditions. Boarding with a veterinarian is recommended. Leashed walks are
provided at sitter's discretion. We may decline severely unruly or untrained dogs. We will not be held
responsible for pets with unsupervised access to the outdoors including pets with electronic fences and expect
the owner to provide a safe, secure environment with the necessary supplies needed to provide care. If others
will be caring for your pet(s), we will not be held responsible for injury, illness or death of a pet.
At your "Initial Meeting" a "Veterinary Release" Agreement must be signed, stating the following:
In the event that my pet(s) appear to be ill, injured, or experiencing a medical problem, I give Comfy Cozy
Critters permission to seek veterinary service from my pet(s) veterinarian or an acceptable alternate
veterinarian and authorize the disclosure of their medical records. I understand that Comfy Cozy Critters is not
responsible for the actions and decisions of the veterinary staff or any undesired results. I understand that
sitters will make every attempt to contact me prior to making any decisions for my pet(s) care and will use their
best judgment. I understand that pet sitters can not diagnose, give prognoses, or make therapy decisions, nor
offer veterinary services.
Home Policies
We ask that your home be properly secured while you are away and we will re-secure it at the end of each visit.
If others will have access to the home or it was not properly secured, we will not be held responsible for theft,
damage or security of the home. We will follow in a reliable and trustworthy manner, all instructions that is
provided on your online profile and ask that you update your profile prior to each scheduled series of
appointments. Plants will be watered as closely to written instructions as possible but we will not be held
responsible for unfavorable results. We will not be held accountable for burglary or damage to the home
beyond our control including but not limited to leaks, electrical problems, acts of nature. We will make every
attempt to contact you. We may deny or terminate services due to safety concerns, financial concerns, or
inappropriate or uncomfortable situations. During seasons of inclement weather we ask that snow removal be
arranged ahead of time or an emergency plan be established.
General Agreements
Pet owner agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Comfy Cozy Critters, in the event of a claim by any
person injured by the Pet.
Pet owner agrees to discuss any concerns within 24 hours of return after service.
Insured and Bonded
Q: Are you a boarding

A: No, We provide

your home overnight.
We have families and
animals of our own that
we must care for which
makes staying at
someone else's home
overnight impossible
for us. We can come
to your home before
bedtime to let your dog
outside to potty, and
we visit again first
thing in the morning to
let them out to potty
again. We try to
maintain your pet's
schedule as best we can.
